At Best Kept Shared, community is at the heart of our concept so we encourage interaction with other Keepers throughout the entire rental lifecycle. And you can even follow Lenders to stay up to date on any new additions to their wardrobes.
We offer a 100% fit guarantee. If your item isn't the perfect fit, you can get a full refund minus the AED 35 delivery.
Just request to return the item within 4 hours of receiving it by going to the Rental Booking in your Dashboard and quoting "item does not fit" as the reason. You have up to 4 hours to complete this action, after which you will need to contact us directly. You can do this through Dashboard > My rental record > Return.
For Managed Wardrobe service, Best Kept Shared will store your items in-house and manage the rental requests & logistics for you. There's nothing for you to do except receive the earnings. The Managed Wardrobe doesn't come with any upfront fees but we take a 50% commission on items rented and sold.

Every Keeper has a BKS wallet.
If you are a Lender, the earnings you make from renting out your items will reflect here as BKS credit. AED 1 is one credit.
You have two options in terms of spending the credit in your wallet. You can: 1. Spend them renting on the site 2. Request to have them transferred to your bank account by going to My Account > BKS Wallet > Bank Transfer Request.

You can rent multiple items from the same closet. Chances are you may be able to rent the whole look (hello matching accessories) from the same lender.
Please note: If you rent different items from different members, the transactions will be separate so you can track each order.
Your item will arrive on the first day of your booking. Reviews are core to our site, they help us to keep the community accountable and facilitate trust among Keepers. We work on a star system, with 5 stars being the highest rating. It is mandatory for both the Renter and Lender to rate each other when the rental is complete.
At the time of review we also encourage Renters to upload a picture of them wearing the item IRL, helping future renter’s access size and fit information.
Best Kept Shared shall make a pricing recommendation based on fifteen percent (15%) of the original RRP of the Item for a three (3) day rental duration and twenty percent (20%) of the RRP for the seven (7) day rental duration.
For resale of Items on the platform, we will make a pricing recommendation based on our understanding of the current market value of the Items, you have the right to override this recommended pricing.
At Best Kept Shared we work on a commission based model, so we only make money when you make money. For traditional peer to peer rental and resale our commission is 30% (15% from the renter side and 15% from the lender side then minus AED 25 for delivery.)
For our managed wardrobe service we work on a profit share basis and split the net revenue 50/50 of the rental or resale amount, minus delivery fee.
These service fees cover costs such as payment processing, ID verification, web hosting and other operational expenses.
The Renter can cancel the rental at no charge up to one week ahead of the rental date. If a cancellation is made within one week of the rental date the Renter will be changed 20% of the rental free. If the cancellation is made within 48 hours of the booking date that fee will increase to 50% of the rental price.
If you constantly book and cancel items Best Kept Shared reserves the right to revoke your membership.
For Rental, your item will arrive on the first day of your booking. Uploading your wardrobe onto Best Kept Shared is easy. Once logged in, simply click "List An Item" at the top right hand corner of the screen.
You'll then fill in some basic information and upload pictures of the item.

Yes, if you choose our traditional peer- to peer model and manage the rental requests yourself then the items will be kept with you in your wardrobe. Just make sure you block out any dates in your calendar that you will be using the item and have the item dry cleaned before your next rental.
We do also offer a Managed Wardrobe service where we will store your items in house and manage the rental requests for you. If you want to wear one of your Managed Wardrobe items then just pay the delivery.

All items listed on the site are curated by the Best Kept Shared team to ensure they meet the following criteria.
A. We accept clothing, bags, shoes and accessories that are less than 5 years old from Contemporary & Luxury Womens wear designer brands or vintage items.
B. All items must be authentic and in pristine condition. Spot checks will be carried out by our team periodically and authenticity proof will be requested at the time of upload.
C. We do not accept fast fashion brands, all items must have a minimum original retail value of AED 500.

Best Kept Shared reserves the right to update, approve or reject the listing and/ or listing criteria at any time.
Great photos are the key to a great listing! Photograph the item on a hanger or mannequin (make sure they are straight) with a plain white background so the item really pops and be sure to shoot from multiple angles and capture the item details.
To remove items from the background you can use an AI background remover tool like: https://www.remove.bg/ or https://magicstudio.com/
We also have an IRL feed where you can upload street style pictures of you wearing the item. In the future renters will share photos of them in your item IRL, this will appear on the product listing page.
Best Kept Shared may remove the background, edit, use or remove any photographs uploaded on the site at our discretion.

Nothing at all! We work on a commission based model so we only make money when you make money.
As a Lender, you can cancel the booking at no charge up a week before the rental date. If you cancel the booking within one week of the rental date you will be charged a 150 AED penalty.
You can cancel a request from your Lending > Order management details page in the dashboard.
You will be asked to fill in a short cancellation form with one of the following reasons for cancellation: - Last minute travel - Lender no longer interested in renting this item - Item is sold.
Your rental and sale earnings will appear in your Best Kept Shared Wallet for the amount of the Rental Fee minus the Best Kept Shared Commission (30% for Rental and Resale), and the delivery amount (25 AED).
The process is as follows:
A) You can then request to transfer the credit to your bank account or use it as credit on the site for your next rental.
B) Please allow between 7 -10 working days for the transferred money to reach your bank account depending on your bank's processing time.
C) The processing fee for sending the money to your bank account is AED 1.
D) We only transfer money to UAE banks and in AED currency.
Best Kept Shared will fix minor wear and tear on the Items, limited to fixes to buttons, zippers or minor repairs up to the amount of AED 150 per Item. However, in the event that an Item is damaged beyond repair, the Renter of the Item is liable to pay the current market value of the Item to the Lender. Best Kept Shared will not liable for damage above AED 150. However, we will support the Lender in exercising their rights against the Renter by providing the Renter’s contact details and setting up a line of communication to facilitate remediation process.
To keep our community safe and secure we require that all of our Keepers undergo our state-of-the-art ID Verification and liveness testing before they are able to complete their first transaction on the site.
A two way review system is also required after each transaction from both the Renter /Lender to ensure that the experience was a great one. Having great reviews shows you’re a trusted member of the community and will increase your chances of renting/ lending in future.
We have also have a one strike and you're out policy, removing you from the Best Kept Shared community for repeat offenses like but not limited to damaging items, not returning items in a timely manner, repeatedly cancelling requests, lending counterfeit items etc.
ID verification is mandatory for both renters and lenders on our site. The process take between 1-3 minutes to complete during which time you ‘ll be asked to upload your Emirates or National UAE ID, answer a few basic questions about yourself and perform a liveness test.
Your ID documentation is not stored by Best Kept Shared. All documentation is held by a secure third party ID verification provider.
It is proven that users with a profile picture gain higher rental conversion rates as it helps to build to trust if someone can put a face to a name. However, although we highly recommend you to add a profile picture, we respect that some people like their privacy.
In this instance we offer an option to ensure that your photo is hidden and it will only be shown to perspective lenders or renters once they have requested to rent or lend an item from you.

Respecting the rental period is crucial as many of our Lenders will have short turnaround times between rentals; meaning that if returned late you could be leaving them out of pocket. A late fee of 150 AED per day will be charged to the Renter for late returns.
In an exceptional circumstance arrises and the Renter can't return the item on the agreed date, we suggest messaging the Lender and explaining the situation to see if there is any flexibility on the return date.

Best Kept Shared manages the pick up and delivery of the item via our 3rd party delivery and dry cleaning supplier.
First point of call is to contact us at 050 514 0293 or [email protected] and contact the lender via the onsite messaging system, we may still be able to get the item to you in time.
However, if it is too late you can request a refund on your RENTING TAB > SELECT BOOKING >RETURN
Please select 'Item didn't arrive in time' as the reason for return.
Refunds will be made back to the payment solution used initially by the customer. Except for cash payments which will be refunded in BKS Credit. Please allow for up to 10-12 days for the refund transfer to be completed.
